Quick answer
Gutter services in Newport Coast, CA: The Brothers That Just Do Gutters Irvine forms seamless aluminum, copper and bonderized steel gutters on site for Newport Coast homes, most of them built from the 1990s on in the San Joaquin Hills above Crystal Cove State Park. We hand clean leaves and grit, keep tile roof edges and gutters clear, plan where every downspout empties on hillside lots and fit non-combustible BroGuard micro-mesh, which matters here because most of Newport Coast is mapped in a Very High Fire Hazard Severity Zone. The coastal NOAA stations nearby average about 9 to 13 inches of rain a year, most of it from December through February. Call (949) 994-4410 or book online.
Newport Coast Gutter Solutionists
Gutters for Newport Coast’s hillside homes
Newport Coast is the Irvine Company community in the San Joaquin Hills above Crystal Cove State Park, annexed to Newport Beach in 2001. The company required a European Mediterranean look and screened home designs through its architectural control committee, and by October 2001 about 2,925 of a planned 4,500 homes were built. Gated neighborhoods spread across the hills toward Ridge Park Road, with Buck Gully Reserve and Crystal Cove’s Moro Canyon close by. In the census tract at the heart of the community, 54 percent of homes were built in 2000 or later and 89 percent are lived in by their owners.
The hills and the fire map shape the gutter work. Tile roofs, tall eaves and terraced lots send water to a few corners fast, and a downspout that dumps onto a slope can undercut a planter or a retaining wall. Rainfall is light, 9.43 inches a year at the Newport Beach Harbor station and 12.68 at Laguna Beach, but most of it arrives in a few winter storms. The bigger issue is fire: most of Newport Coast is mapped in a Very High Fire Hazard Severity Zone on CAL FIRE’s maps, so dry leaves on the roof edge are a real risk. On those streets, BroGuard micro-mesh in stainless steel keeps dry leaves out of the trough, and it will not burn the way plastic or foam guards can.
Sara Baayoun owns The Brothers That Just Do Gutters Irvine, and our crew works every part of Newport Coast, from the homes near Newport Coast Elementary on Ridge Park Road to the neighborhoods off Pelican Hill Road and San Joaquin Hills Road. We form seamless aluminum, copper and bonderized steel on site, clean by hand, replace soft fascia, rehang tired runs and plan underground drainage where a hillside lot needs roof water carried to the street instead of across a slope. We schedule new installs after your association signs off, never ahead of it. The same crew covers the rest of Newport Beach, from Corona del Mar to Newport Heights.

Why the Brothers
Why Newport Coast Homeowners Call the Brothers
On hillside lots we map where every downspout lets out first, so roof water lands in a drain or the street, not on the slope.
We clear the roof edge and fit non-combustible BroGuard mesh, the kind of gutter cover CAL FIRE recommends.
On Mediterranean homes we match profile and color to the trim and tile, so new gutters look like part of the house.

Very likely. Most of Newport Coast is mapped in a Very High Fire Hazard Severity Zone on CAL FIRE’s maps, including the 2025 local map released March 24, 2025. Dry leaves sitting in a gutter are a weak point at the roof edge, so we recommend metal gutters, stainless BroGuard micro-mesh that will not burn and a cleaning before fall wind season. Check your address on our Fire Zone Check page.
It depends on what we find. Many Newport Coast homes went up in the 1990s and 2000s, and on gutters that age the trough is often still sound while the hangers and seams behind it are worn out. We test each section, tell you which runs can be rehung and resealed, and price a full seamless replacement only where it makes sense. You get both options in writing.
Somewhere that can take it: the curb, a yard drain or a buried line. Letting a downspout dump onto the hillside behind the house puts a whole roof’s water on one patch of ground. We trace each outlet with you and write up the fix, and if a slope already shows movement, we say so and point you to an engineer before we touch the drainage.
Ask before you order. Newport Coast homes fall under the Newport Coast Community Association and often a neighborhood association as well, and those groups commonly treat new gutters as an exterior change. Get the current standards and color palette from your association or its management company. Our estimates list gutter size, profile, color and downspout locations, which is what a committee usually wants to see.
Early fall is best. Leaves pile up through the dry months, Santa Ana wind events can arrive in fall before much rain has fallen, and a full trough on a fire-zone roof is the worst combination. A September or October visit clears the roof edge, flushes every downspout and catches loose hangers before the first winter storm. Homes under heavy tree cover often need a spring visit too.
