Quick answer

Gutter services in Turtle Rock, CA: The Brothers That Just Do Gutters Irvine forms seamless aluminum, copper and bonderized steel gutters on site for Turtle Rock homes, most of them built in the 1960s and 1970s on the slopes of the San Joaquin Hills. We hand clean leaves and grit off hillside lots, rehang runs that have pulled loose after 50 years, replace soft fascia, plan where every downspout empties on a slope and fit non-combustible BroGuard micro-mesh, which matters here because Irvine’s 2025 fire map put much of Turtle Rock in a Very High Fire Hazard Severity Zone. About 13 inches of rain a year falls at the nearest NOAA station, two thirds of it from December through February. Call (949) 994-4410 or book online.

Turtle Rock Gutter Solutionists

Gutters for Turtle Rock’s hillside streets

Turtle Rock opened in 1967 as one of the five villages that first made up Irvine, and a turtle sculpture in Turtle Rock Community Park still marks the year. The village climbs into the San Joaquin Hills between University Drive, Culver Drive, Shady Canyon Drive and the Strawberry Farms edge, with Turtle Rock Drive looping through it and Sunset Point topping out at 161 meters, about 528 feet. In the two census tracts at the center of the village, 78 percent of homes were built in the 1960s and 1970s and 84 percent are lived in by their owners. Most houses here are close to 50 years old, so original gutters, fascia and hangers have put in a long shift.

The hills shape the gutter work. A downspout near the top of a sloped lot sends water across the yard below, and on steep streets a run that sags even a little starts spilling at the low corner. The NOAA station at Irvine Ranch, the nearest with 1991 to 2020 normals, averages 13.06 inches a year, and 8.48 inches of it comes from December through February, so the gutters get tested in a handful of storms. The bigger change is fire: when Irvine adopted CAL FIRE’s 2025 map, effective July 23, 2025, Turtle Rock picked up Very High and High zones, and state law requires homes in locally adopted Very High zones to keep the roof free of leaves and needles. On those streets, BroGuard micro-mesh in stainless steel keeps dry leaves out of the trough, and it will not burn the way plastic or foam guards can.

Sara Baayoun owns The Brothers That Just Do Gutters Irvine, and our crew works every part of Turtle Rock, from the turtle-shaped rock on Rockview Drive to the streets off Sunnyhill Drive and around Bonita Canyon Elementary. We form seamless aluminum, copper and bonderized steel on site, clean by hand, replace soft fascia, rehang tired runs and plan underground drainage where a hillside lot needs roof water carried to the street instead of across a slope. Owners live in about 84 of every 100 homes here, and landlords get the same free written estimate. The same crew covers the rest of Irvine, village by village.

Why the Brothers

Why Turtle Rock Homeowners Call the Brothers

01Slope-smart drainage

On hillside lots we map where every downspout lets out first, so roof water lands in a drain or the street, not on the slope.

02Fire-zone ready

We clear the roof edge and fit non-combustible BroGuard mesh, the kind of gutter cover CAL FIRE recommends.

03Respect for the originals

On 1960s and 1970s homes we fix soft fascia first, then hang a profile that fits the house.

04Locally owned

Sara Baayoun owns this franchise, and our listed address is in Irvine, a short drive from Turtle Rock Drive. Call (949) 994-4410 for a free written Turtle Rock estimate.

Turtle Rock Gutter Questions, Answered

Is my Turtle Rock home in a fire hazard zone now?

Possibly, even if it was not before. Irvine adopted CAL FIRE’s 2025 Fire Hazard Severity Zone map without changes, in effect July 23, 2025, and it brought zones into Turtle Rock. By our measurement, about 56 percent of the village’s two central census tracts is mapped Very High and 28 percent High. In locally adopted Very High zones, state law requires owners to keep the roof free of leaves and needles. Check your address on our Fire Zone Check page; we clean and fit non-combustible mesh either way.

Our gutters are original to the house. Repair or replace?

It depends on what we find. Many Turtle Rock homes went up in the 1960s and 1970s, and on gutters that age the trough is often still sound while the hangers and seams behind it are worn out. We test each section, tell you which runs can be rehung and resealed, and price a full seamless replacement only where it makes sense. You get both options in writing.

Where should downspouts drain on a sloped Turtle Rock lot?

Somewhere that can take it: the curb, a yard drain or a buried line. Letting a downspout dump onto the hillside behind the house puts a whole roof’s water on one patch of ground. We trace each outlet with you and write up the fix, and if a slope already shows movement, we say so and point you to an engineer before we touch the drainage.

Does our Turtle Rock association need to approve new gutters?

Ask before you order. Irvine associations commonly treat new gutters as an exterior change, and Turtle Rock’s associations do not post gutter rules on a public page we could find, so get the current standards and color palette from your association or its management company. Our estimates list gutter size, profile, color and downspout locations, which is what a committee usually wants to see. Our Irvine HOA gutter guide covers the rest.

When should Turtle Rock homes book a gutter cleaning?

Early fall is best. Leaves pile up through the dry months, Santa Ana wind events can arrive in fall before much rain has fallen, and a full trough on a fire-zone roof is the worst combination. A September or October visit clears the roof edge, flushes every downspout and catches loose hangers before the first winter storm. Homes under heavy tree cover often need a spring visit too.
